Margaret Carroll-Bergman

Margaret is a former executive director of Thoreau Farm.

A journalist with roots in nonprofit management, Margaret served as the publisher for the award-winning Provincetown Arts Press, Inc.;  reporter for The Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror; editor for The Nantucket Independent and regional editor for Coastal New England for America Online’s and the Huffington Post’s Patch Media. Living and reporting in New England, Margaret appreciates how our much our daily lives are influenced by the hand of nature. She received a New England Press Association Award for Environmental Writing.

Margaret, husband and two springer spaniels moved to Concord after living nearly 20 years in Provincetown. They live in a 575 sq. ft. winterized fishing and hunting camp on White Pond. Their adult children visit in shifts.
